Our Team
Shiro Chikamatsu
Shiro’s main area of expertise is in global environmental policy and sustainable natural resource management strategy. His topics include Payment for Ecosystem Service (PES) for rainforest conservation, Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) of commodities, and climate change mitigation and adaptation in the land use sector.
He has over 10 years of experience in environmental research and consultancy including development of carbon offset projects, analysis of environmental markets and regulations, advice on corporate/governmental climate change and biodiversity management strategies, and facilitation of sustainability capacity building. He has conducted numerous fieldworks, workshops, and assessments involving sustainability appraisal, ecosystem valuation, supply chain analysis, biomass survey, remote sensing and carbon accounting.
He has previously worked in a biotechnology lab of Riken as a Genetic Researcher, and in a Japanese environmental business development company, Smart Energy, as a Senior Consultant before joining 2E Solutions. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
Karunakaran Karthigeyan
Karuna’s main area of expertise is in application of various management tools and innovate technologies to strengthen supply chain sustainability and environmental performance of the organisation. He is currently developing and operating Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), which could be used for remote sensing activities.
He has over 15 years of experience in various corporate management activities which includes supply chain management, project management, and business management both in the industry and consultancy. This includes sustainability management & reporting, life cycle assessment, supply chain strategy, supply chain operations, project supply quality management, vendor/supplier management, quality control / quality assurance management, and plant operation & maintenance.
He is LRQA, Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007. He has worked in Alstom as a Project Supply Quality Manager and Accenture as a Supply Chain Strategy/Operations Manager before joining 2E Solutions. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cranfield School of Management.
Dr. Mohamed Yunus Bin Mohamed Yasin
Yunus’ main area of expertise is in multi-stakeholder engagement and sustainability education. He led development of agriculture and aquaculture projects engaging with diverse stakeholders from institutional investors to rural communities. He has conducted various sustainability seminars and workshops for corporate executives, technical professionals, entrepreneurs, NGOs, university students and school children.
He has over 18 years of experience in various corporations and NGO and has been in the forefront of entrepreneurial activities. He was the Member of the wining team at Cambridge University Entrepreneurs Society-1k competition, and has contributed towards starting up range of projects, companies and NGOs. Notably, he is the founder of Science Fair for Young Children, and Association of Science Technology and Innovation (ASTI). He has inspired many young leaders, and corporate executives to become active in social and sustainability issues.
He has worked in SIRIM Berhad as a Researcher and Khazanah National Berhad as a Vice President before joining 2E Solutions. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from University of Cambridge.
