ECOLOGICAL ECONOMIC SOLUTIONS (“the Company”, or “we”) believes that it is our social responsibility and place the utmost priority on protecting personal information (information concerning an individual whereby a specific individual can be identified or which contains an individual identification code), as well as individual numbers and specific personal information (“Specific Personal Information etc.”; collectively with personal information, “Personal Information etc.”) in all our corporate activities.

The Company intends to thoroughly protect personal information by establishing the following policy and ensuring that all of our executives, employees, and affiliates comply with it.

  • The Company complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, guidelines issued by relevant authorities, and other laws and regulations concerning proper handling of personal information.
  • The Company acquires personal information in a proper manner, and except as otherwise provided for by law, uses such information within the purpose of utilization of personal information that has been disclosed in advance, was informed or explicitly stated at the time of receipt.
  • In order to prevent loss, alteration or leakage of personal information, the Company implements appropriate security controls for handling of personal information including information security.
  • The Company reviews, on a regular basis, its management system and efforts for the protection of personal information to attain continuous improvement.

The Company will utilize personal information for the purposes set forth below to the extent necessary to carry out its business and will take measures to ensure that such information is not utilized for any other purposes.

  • To introduce and provide consulting services, advisory services, and various other services to be offered or rendered by the Company.
  • To provide information through publications (including newsletters and other information provided on websites, by email, and by other means) issued by the Company, and to provide information on sales and subscriptions of such publications.
  • To inform of and operate various seminars and study sessions.
  • To select and hire personnel (including partners, directors and any other staff engaged in business within the Company, regardless of their titles) and to conduct human resources management after hiring.
  • To make proposals, take statistics, conduct research and respond to requests for advice from public organizations concerning services provided by the Company, and to otherwise engage in contribution to society.

  • To implement comprehensive risk management based, inter alia, on the requirements for compliance with laws and regulations and quality control.

In a case where, when acquiring personal information, the Company obtains the consent for utilization of such personal information for purposes in addition to those described above, the Company will utilize such personal information within the scope of the purpose for which the consent was obtained.

The Company will acquire Personal Information etc., with the prior consent of the person in question, and in a lawful and fair manner.

  • The Company strives to keep personal information accurate and up to date within the scope necessary to achieve a utilization purpose.
  • In order to prevent loss, destruction, alteration or leakage of personal information, the Company safely manages personal information and takes appropriate information security measures against unauthorized access, computer viruses.
  • The Company appoints an individual responsible for management of personal information to implement appropriate control over personal information. The Company ensures appropriate handling of personal information in its day-to-day business by offering training programs focused on protection and proper management of personal information for partners, directors and other staff.
  • The Company appropriately supervises its personnel and its trustees with respect to the handling of personal information.

In a case where the Company will jointly utilize personal information for any of the purposes set forth in Article 2 of this Policy, prior to such joint utilization, the Company will notify the person of the matters relating to such joint utilization or will provide conditions that the person can easily learn such matters.

  • Items that may be jointly utilized: Name (including the place of work, division to which a person belongs, title, and position whereby a specific person’s name can be identified), address, telephone number, facsimile number, email address, and the requests made by the person, etc.
  • Scope of joint users: The Company and its affiliated companies.
  • Purpose of joint use: Within the scope in the Article 2 ”Utilization Purposes of Personal Information etc.” above, it may be jointly utilized on a need basis.
  • Entity responsible for management of joint utilization: 2ESolutions.

Without the prior consent of the person in question, the Company will not provide such person’s personal information to any third parties; provided, however, that if necessary to protect a person’s life, body or property, or if otherwise permitted by law, personal information may be provided to third parties without the consent of the person in question.

When the Company provides personal information to a third party in a foreign country (hereinafter a country or region located outside the territory of Japan), it provides personal information only when a consent on such provision to a third party in a foreign country is obtained in advance from the principal.

The Company may, to the extent necessary for any of the purposes set forth in Article 2 of this Policy, entrust to third-party contractors the handling of personal information in whole or in part. In such case, such entrustment will be carried out on the condition that such contractors take or perform measures for the protection of personal information pursuant to applicable law and regulation.

To prevent the leakage, loss or damage to, and to ensure the security of, Personal Information etc. handled by the Company, the Company will take or perform necessary and appropriate measures and, where necessary, corrections in accordance with its internal rules related to information security.

  • Cookies and web beacons
    • The Company’s website may use cookies and web beacons to help us understand the usage of our website services, so that the Company can improve and offer services more suited to the interests and needs of the users. The cookies and web beacons will not collect personally identifiable information or have negative effects on the user’s computer. Users can choose to disable cookies by changing their browser settings.
  • SSL/TLS
    • The Company’s website uses encryption technology such as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) /TLS (Transport Layer Security) for enhanced security.
  • Obtaining access logs
    • The Company’s website tracks user information recorded in an access log. This includes users’ IP addresses, browser type, number of accesses and other related details, but not any information that can identify a person. The Company will never use the access log for any purpose other than for statistics and analysis on how the site is being utilized.

In a case where the person in question requests notice of the purpose of utilization of such person’s Personal Information etc. or disclosure, correction etc. or cease of utilization etc. of such Personal Information etc., the Company will provide such person with notice of the purpose of utilization, or disclose, correct, or cease the utilization of Personal Information etc. in accordance with applicable law and regulation.

The Company handles Personal Information etc. under the management of a personal information protection manager. Upon amendment of applicable law and regulation or change to the nature of the Company’s business, the Company may revise this policy. If the Company revises this Policy, the Company will post such revisions on the Company’s website.
